Vale clubs learn Welsh Cup qualifying draw

The draw's been made for the second qualifying round of the Welsh Cup.

Three teams from the Vale are just a game away from reaching the first round proper - incluidng Holton Road, who will play host to Gwent County League outfit Pill.

The Barry club provided an early upset with a 3-0 win over third-tier Bridgend Street on Saturday.

Cardiff Airport, who enjoyed a lengthy cup run last season, will travel to face Ardal South West club Ynysgerwn.

Airport kicked off last Saturday night with a 5-0 victory over Llangennech, including a hat trick for Sonny Lambert.

Ely Rangers' reward for beating cup specialists Ton Pentre 3-0 is a home clash against Treforest, who play in Division One of the South Wales Alliance League.

Cardiff Bay Warriors, who edged out Clydach Wasps in a seven-goal thriller, will entertain Caerphilly side Cwrt Rawlin.

Ties will be played on the weekend of Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th August.
