Bro Radio launches new presenter search

7th November 2021

Bro Radio, the local radio station for the Vale of Glamorgan, has launched a search for new volunteer presenters from the rural Vale of Glamorgan to join its daytime team.

In November 2021, the station opened new studios in Llantwit Major, after launching on 100.2fm in the town. By the end of 2021, it plans to launch on 98.4fm, to better serve St Athan, Rhoose and surrounding areas.

All presenters on the station are volunteers, giving their time to inform, educate, entertain and engage with communities, whilst also developing their skills, giving back and becoming a vital part of their community.

An opportunity has become available for the right presenter to take on 2 x two-hour programmes each week, during the day, to be broadcast live from studios at CF61 in Llantwit Major.

The programme will be a magazine style show, with music, local information and guests, focusing on what's going on in communities across the Vale of Glamorgan. Despite this being a specific opportunity, others are available and if this isn't right for you, then we will work to see where best you can fit into the work of Bro Radio.

You don't need any previous experience as we'll provide you with full training and support, should you be chosen for this exciting opportunity.

You will need to be available during the weekday, be willing to learn, and have a friendly, approachable personality.

Those applying from the rural Vale of Glamorgan (Rhoose, St Athan, Llantwit Major, Cowbridge etc) are preferred, however this is not necessary.
