The Job Search

 

Bro Radio is working in partnership with Communities for Work to promote job opportunities, training, support and guidance for those who are not in employment, education or training in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Communities for work provides one-to-one help, support and guidance on job searches, CV’s, application forms, interview skills and training. To be eligible you must live in Vale of Glamorgan, be long-term unemployed, economically inactive or NEET – Not in Employment, Education or Training.

Communities for work offer training and support to help you get sustainable employment, with support and funding for childcare to help parents return to work.

Each month on Bro Radio we’ll be joined by one of the Communities for Work team, to discuss training and support opportunities available to residents through them and their partners, with regular job opportunities broadcast on-air throughout the day.

This week’s featured jobs:

1. Local Cleaning Company – New Staff

A Vale cleaning company are looking to hire new staff on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week at £9 per hour. 2. Tea rooms, Llantwit – Kitchen Staff

New tea rooms will be opening soon in Llantwit Major and there is a vacancy for experienced kitchen staff. The successful applicant must have a food hygiene certificate and will work 11am – 3pm, Tuesday to Sunday at a rate of £10.25 per hour. To find out more, email imleonbrown@outlook.com.

3. Starbucks, Barry – Barista

Starbucks, Barry are looking for a number of full and part-time baristas to help them make the perfect cup of coffee for their customers, Applicants are asked to inform Starbucks whether they are looking for full or part-time hours and previous hospitality experience and a driving license is preferred. 4. Freye Drycleaning – Dry Cleaning Assistant

Freye Drycleaning on Broad Street, Barry, are looking for a dry cleaning assistant to work part-time in their store. 3 years of experience in customer service and a driving license are required in the role. To find out more, click here.

5. Greggs, Barry Island – Retail Team Member

Greggs the baker, on Barry Island, are searching for people to join their retail team, on a part-time, 16 hours per week basis. Applicants will need to be available to work between 5am and 8pm and should have an interest in customer service. To apply, click here.

6. Island View Residential Care Home – Handyman

Island View Residential Care Home are looking to employ a handyman to deal with all aspects of maintenance at the home. Day-to-day duties include DIY, gardening and more. Previous experience is preferred and a full driving license is required. To find out more, click here.
