Bro Radio is the local volunteer led radio station for the Vale of Glamorgan and is looking to increase the number of volunteers that it supports in 2020.
The station currently has a team of almost 60 volunteers who range from presenters, producers, newsreaders and content producers, on air and behind the scenes.
In 2020 the station is currently able to offer opportunities in the following areas:
Newsreading - Supported by our Head of News, you'll create weekly news bulletins and content. You'll be trained to source, write, produce and record bulletins to air on air and via the stations website. This role requires a commitment of one day per week, between 3 - 6 hours depending on ability.
Content Producers - Working alongside our on air team, you'll work to source local news, events and information, as well as guests to appear on air. You'll work with programme presenters to create social media content to support on air programming. This is a flexible role to fit around other commitments.
Currently Bro Radio has no available on air presenting opportunities, however the above roles will provide you with the basic skills to be able to present, when time slots become available.
Nathan is the Operations Director and one half of Vale Breakfast on Bro Radio. You'll hear him reading local news, hosting at local events and presenting our facebook live videos.
