The team and staff of the Cymru women's team have decided to donate money to foodbanks in Wales to support them through the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the team explained the decision:
"In light of the COVID-19 crisis, which has changed the life of everyone across the world, the Cymru women's team and staff have decided ot donate money to support foodbanks in Wales.
"The Trussell Trust and other foodbanks in Wales gave more than 113,000 parcels containing three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis between April 2018 and March 2019.
"Volunteers believe that this number has quadrupled during this pandemic.
"We hope the money raised will help families across Wales who are struggling on a daily basis.
"As a team we encourage everyone to support and look out for each other during these unprecedented times"
Charities throughout the nation have been hit by the sudden demand for their services that this pandemic has caused, and the Cymru Women"s team join a host of high profile names doing their bit to try and support their communities during these difficult days.
