Changes to Adventure Travel Services underway

Several previously announced changes to Adventure Travel Bus Services serving the Vale of Glamorgan have begun today.

The former 89A/89B routes have been merged into one service and renumbered as the 305 route. As part of the change, Adventure Travel says there will be more services running overall, improving reliability.

Meanwhile, Port Road and Fonmon Road have been removed from the 304 service, to increase the running time for the journey. The decision has been met with much concern from Rhoose residents and councillors, with residents having to walk to Font-y-Gary Road to use the service.  The provider stated that the change would remove the conflict between buses and other vehicles within the narrow section of Port Road.

Elsewhere, the B3 service has been amended to serve the controversial £3 million Barry Transport Interchange. As part of the change, the route will feature one less journey overall, due to increase running times. 

There are also changes to the 320 route, with St George and the Drop removed on all journeys, to improve timekeeping. Whilst on the 321 route, some journeys have been removed from the timetable to keep services on time.
